1. Scope of Services

Miranda Finish Carpentry provides finish carpentry and custom woodwork services including, but not limited to, interior trim and molding, exterior trim, custom built-ins, stairs and railings, cabinet installation, and windows and doors. The specific scope of work for each project will be outlined in a written estimate or contract agreed upon by both parties before work begins.

2. Estimates and Quotes

All estimates provided are based on the information available at the time of quoting. Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Final pricing may be adjusted if the scope of work changes, unforeseen conditions are discovered, or material costs fluctuate significantly. Any changes to the agreed scope will be documented in a written change order signed by both parties.

3. Scheduling and Timeline

We strive to begin and complete all projects within the estimated timeframe. However, project timelines may be affected by factors beyond our control, including weather conditions, material availability, permitting delays, or changes requested by the client. We will communicate any schedule changes promptly and work to minimize delays.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in the project contract. Typically, a deposit is required to secure materials and schedule the project. Progress payments may be required for larger projects, with the final balance due upon substantial completion of the work. We accept payment by check, bank transfer, or other methods as agreed in writing. Late payments may be subject to interest charges as permitted by Massachusetts law.

5. Materials and Workmanship

We use high-quality materials and industry-standard techniques appropriate for each project. All work will be performed in a professional manner consistent with accepted finish carpentry practices. Material selections and finishes will be confirmed with the client before installation. We are not responsible for defects in client-supplied materials.

6. Warranty

Miranda Finish Carpentry warrants its workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of substantial completion. This warranty covers defects in installation and craftsmanship under normal use. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, alterations by others, natural disasters, or normal wear and tear. Material warranties are subject to the manufacturer's terms.

7. Site Access and Conditions

The client agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area. The job site should be clear of obstructions, and utilities (electricity, water, climate control) should be available as needed for the work. We will take reasonable care to protect existing structures and finishes, but we are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or damage to items not properly removed or protected by the client.

8. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule a project, please provide as much notice as possible. Deposits may be forfeited if cancellation occurs after materials have been ordered or specialized preparations have been made. We reserve the right to reschedule work due to unsafe conditions, severe weather, or other circumstances that would compromise quality or safety.

9. Limitation of Liability

Miranda Finish Carpentry's liability is limited to the value of the services performed. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any disputes arising from them shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action shall be brought in the courts located in Plymouth County, Massachusetts.

11. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Miranda Finish Carpentry for services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms may be updated from time to time, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
